Keep our Waterways Clean!
Every year we encourage our kayaking community to help clean up our waterways. The last 2 years have been a huge success with the KAT Challenge! Almost every group participated in it that hit the water with us. We collected tons and TONS of trash last season we had over 1,000 people participating while on our trips!! Here's to another fantastic season of keeping Center Hill Lake Clean!
About the KAT Challenge: You will have an option to carry a bag along with you that we provide and pick up as much trash as you can. The person who collects the most on our trip will get a shiny new KAT Challenge Pin and their picture on our website here on our KAT Challenge Page. All who participate will get a special shout-out on our FB and Instagram pages for being protectors of our beautiful Tennessee waterways!

Our KAT Challenge crew did a great job finding trash, but Amy pulled out the win with a muddy tire! She happily kayaked the tire back to the launch, even though it didn't smell very well, and was named the trip winner by group vote at the end of the day for her efforts. Thank you so much Amy for helping to keep Center Hill Lake and Burgess Falls clean!

Avery was excited about the trash challenge right from the beginning of the trip today! She looked hard during the trip and even helped to clean up the launch after the trip with the rest of the group. She was named the trip winner at the end of the day by group vote! Tara did an amazing job looking for trash throughout the whole day! She had her trash bag with her everywhere she went and got every piece of trash she could find. She was constantly looking while we were walking up to and back from the waterfall and during the paddle too! Thank you so much Tara for helping to keep Center Hill Lake and Burgess Falls clean!

Jill is from Canada and still took the time to make sure our beautiful waterways in Tennessee were clean while enjoying her Burgess Falls paddle!
